Gift Memory Saver is a simple, private tool for keeping a personal history of the gifts you give and receive. Whether it is a birthday watch from a close friend, a wedding present from a relative, or a small thank-you from a colleague, every gift carries a story. This website helps you hold on to those stories.
Why remembering gifts matters
Gifts are more than objects. They are reminders of relationships, milestones, and the people who thought of you on an important day. Over time it becomes easy to forget who gave what, or which occasion a gift belonged to. A gift journal keeps those details in one place so you can look back and remember the people behind the moments.
What you can do
- Record a gift — note the gift name, whether you received or gave it, the person's name, the date, and the occasion.
- Add memories — write a short description and a personal note so the story behind the gift is never lost.
- Attach a photo — optionally add a picture of the gift. Photos are resized and compressed in your browser before they are saved.
- Mark favorites — star the gifts that mean the most to you.
- Search, filter, and sort — find any gift by name, person, occasion, or notes. Filter by received, given, or favorites, and sort by date or name.
- Edit and delete — update any record at any time, or remove it for good after a confirmation step.
- Back up and restore — export all of your records to a JSON file and import them again later.
How your records are stored
Gift Memory Saver runs entirely in your web browser. Your gift records are saved using your browser's localStorage, which means they stay on your device. The website does not upload your gift records to a server, and no account is required.
Because records are stored only in this browser, they will not automatically appear on another device. If you clear your browser data or lose your device, your records may be lost. Use the Export backup feature regularly so you always have a copy.
